John Linke

An article about John Linke and his hairdressing shop in Stirling where he estimates he has given two hundred and fifty thousand haircuts. Pictured with him is the Warin family and Chris Chardon.

Bridgewater Mill

The Bridgewater Mill as it was in the 1960s when Hamiltons used it as a whiskey and brandy store. The second photograph is taken after it was bought by Petaluma in 1984, completely renovated and became the renewed restaurant and cellar door it is today.

Flinder’s Centenary

An article from ‘History SA’ the newsletter of the Historical Society of South Australia. This article by James Potter, published in January 2002, is about the celebrations held in 1902 to commemorate the centenary of Matthew Flinders voyage circumnavigating Australia and charting the coastline.

Gerald Lyn Fischer

An article about archivist Gerald Lyn Fischer, which was published in ‘The Advertiser’ on 20 Nov 2010. During his career he worked at the National Library in Canberra and the University of Sydney. He worked to raise the status of archivists and was involved in a number of publications including the Australian Dictionary of Biography
