Welcome to the Mt Lofty Districts Historical Society\u2019s “Gateways”: a place to share, learn and enjoy our region\u2019s history. On these pages you will find an expanding wealth of information, often inspired by items held within the Society\u2019s archival collection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each topic is represented by a photograph. Each photograph is a gateway to the past, an invitation to discover articles, images, and voices on your chosen topic.  So click on the Toll Gate, then choose a topic from the list, click on the associated photograph and explore.<\/p>\n

We sincerely hope that you will enjoy exploring our Gateways. We also hope that you will be inspired to contribute material through the donation\/loan of objects, photographs and other material to help us in our quest to collect the history of the district for the education and enjoyment of current and future generations.<\/p>\n
