The memorial was unveiled jointly by Stirling District Council Mayor Anita Aspinall &amp; Police Commissioner D A Hunt. The Memorial is to 3 police officers: Sergeant Cecil William Sparkes &amp; Special Constables Mervyn George Casey &amp; Colin Roy Kroemer.\u00a0 They died while fighting a bushfire near Upper Sturt in January 1951.
